In honor of our Jewish readers celebrating Purim this week, today I will post the 8 most worthy costumes that will make heads turn this Purim. Of course, all the costumes are taken from or inspired by movies and TV series, which will make your costume cool and interesting.

For those of us who are not familiar with the Jewish holiday “Purim”, it is a fun holiday reminiscent of Halloween, as it is a holiday where it is customary to dress up, fool around and celebrate!

So next week I’m going to a Purim party in New York, and of course, I always wait until the last minute to find a costume. I like to think of special, funny, beautiful costumes that won’t cost me a fortune. If you are lazy like me, there are a variety of cool costumes that you can order on Amazon. But if you are original, special, and like to assemble your costumes yourself – the sky is the limit.

In today’s post, I will share with you 8 costumes that I really liked, some are simple to put together and some are more sophisticated and expensive. You can buy some of the costumes directly from the links I share, and some of these pictures are just for inspiration.

Are you ready? here we go:

1. “Clueless”

Clueless: Cher and Dionne costumes
Cher and Dionne from Clueless. From Pinterst.

A relatively easy costume to assemble. However, you probably don’t have a matching jacket and miniskirt in this exact Cher Horowitz print. Either buy this exact one or improvise and be creative with your wardrobe!

2. “Pulp Fiction”

The couple’s costume is also quite easy and you most likely have a white button-down shirt and black pants. A little “fake blood” with the help of makeup you have, a cigarette, a mysterious look. A black wig on Amazon will complete the look.

3. Sandy and Danny from “Grease”

Seriously, probably the easiest costume to put together yet. Tight black clothes, curled hair look, preferably red heels but any color will do the job. Your partner-white t-shirt, black pants, and lots of hair gel. A winning chic couple.

4. Scooby Doo

Group costume alert! Prepare the group to be the most colorful, cute, and funny costume. My advice – go to a second-hand store and assemble the costumes according to your personal taste, and try to stick to the colors of your character.

5. Barbie

Trendy Barbie costume. 26.99$ From Amazon.

Dear readers, I must warn you that this will probably be a very popular costume this year following the dizzying success of the movie Barbie. Even so, this is a stunning costume and you will look glamorous.

6. Pretty Woman

Pretty Woman Costume. 64.53$ from Amazon.

A costume on the more expensive side, but for those who have more time and desire to invest, I would make the costume myself. A white tank top that connects to a ring in the navel area, which is connected to a light blue skirt. That’s it, there you have it. Black boots and a wig will complete the look to the max.

7. Regina George from “Mean Girls”

Minimum effort, maximum effect – the perfect costume. You are invited to see how the look comes out in the post “Regina George: How To Get The Mean Look Easily”.

8. Leon and Mathilda from “Leon The Professional”

Last but not least, unfortunately not everyone knows the movie, but those who do know that this is a cool idea. This is me and my partner dressed up two years ago. Is it successful?

I hope I gave you ideas to dress up this holiday. Enjoy and take care of yourself.
