Ryan Gosling’s outfit for the Oscars performance of “I’m Just Ken” was a sophisticated and stylish ensemble that paid homage to Marilyn Monroe’s iconic look in “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend.” The Barbie Fever from the movie has retained public love and attention despite it coming out 7 months ago. One of the standout characters from the Barbie movie was Ken played by Gosling, especially in the song “I’m Just Ken” which won Best Song at the 29th Critics’ Choice Awards and was nominated for Best Song Written for Visual Media at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards and Best Original Song at the 96th Academy Awards. The movie celebrates women and has a lot of girly fun, and the actor has been praised for his respect for women.

This praise for women was shown in his performance for the Oscars by wearing and having a very similar performance to “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend.” Gosling’s outfit is a head-to-Gucci pink tuxedo embellished with silver sequins along with pink gloves and sunglasses. The pink tone of this tuxedo is pink resembles Barbie Pink and also very similar to the pink of Marilyn Monroe’s dress.

Ryan was accompanied by a big group of men who were dressed in black tuxedos with pink details. Many of the other Ken from the movie came to support him and dance along with him on stage. This detail is very similar to the group of men who accompany and dance with Monroe and even the choreography was similar.
